The world of fashion for designers is all about making fantasy a reality. Yet for people as a society, not so much. People tend to look for practicality and beauty not typically fantasy in their outfit. Sometimes we can see ourselves as Cinderella before the ball, basic not good enough to be glamours.
But I am always encouraging all my readers to take fashion risks and try new things. So if you are feeling adventurous and want to make your look a bit more magical here are a few tips on how fashion meets fantasy.
Take the basic concept of what you want to portray. For example I went for a princess/fairy look--translation romantic yet mystical. I went for a dress that has volume as the character of a princess would yet I choose a bold color that a princess typically would not wear but a fairy would. Now the key is that you don't want to look like your wearing a costume you want your look to make people feel magical. Now this is the part we have to focus on and that is fit and style. This is where each persons personality should really shine through. I love to be feminine and this halter style dress is a perfect example.
Every girl and woman at some point in their lives should feel special, and let's be honest we all don't have fairy Godmother's to make us look fabulous but we all follow bloggers, fashion magazines and fashion icons. I hope you all get inspired and create your own Cinderella story.
xoxo,
