Looking for a not so boring way of doing dress pants? Here are some skinny dress pants with a polka dot print. The print is subtle enough to wear to the office or a formal environment but trendy enough to let others see your fashion sense. Some times people think dress pants always means a trouser and that is not the case. Opt out for a skinny leg or even a straight leg. Have fun and take some risks.
I know a lot of fashionistas are all about breaking the rules of fashion, but I am a bit more realistic and my motto is to bend the rules. There are certain fashion standards whether we like to admit it or not that society lives by. The dress code for professionalism is one of them.
This look would technically fall under business casual and I will tell you why. As I mentioned earlier my pants fit the professional look even though they trendy but my top does not. For the simple reason that a professional look always requires a sleeve. No matter where you live not even Miami! If you want to do a sleeveless look make sure you are wearing a blazer or jacket. Now if business causal is ok for your work environment then this look is for you. Last but not least let's talk about the shoes. A business professional look always calls for close toed shoes. No one said they have to be boring. These color block pumps are my go to shoes for many formal looks. They are stylish yet fit the rules. Now I know residing in Miami our society and accepted opened toed shoes in professional attire…but ladies if you want to look business professional opt for close toed shoes. If the look can be business causal then it is ok to do an open toed shoe, BUT remember to have a fresh pedi ;)
I love giving advice, on different fashion looks. I had been asked a lot to write about what is "appropriate" work attire. Please feel free to ask what ever questions you have, and I will create a post for it :) You can post your questions here or in any of my social media outlets!
