Here are some tips that will help these couple of hours go by smoothly:
1. First off I recommend you have everyone who is doing their hair and makeup with your hired stylists to come prepared. Which means come with your hair freshly washed and blow-dried. I have curly hair and for a beautiful up-do to look well done your hair should be blow-dried. If you have straight hair but it's a bit flat I also recommend blow-drying it because this will help give your hair more volume which will make the hairstyle look even better, especially if it's an intricate chignon like we had.
2. An other issue you may have is that not all girls hair lengths are created equal. If you want to have a cohesive hair style consider for the girls with shorter hair (like my sister) to wear clip extensions. They work great!
3. An other key advice is to make sure you wear something you don't have to pull over your head to get off. That way you won't mess up your hair once it's time to get dressed. You can wear a button down shirt, or a romper like mine (from LOFT). Some girls wear the robes while they are getting ready like we did, but realistically there is so much going on to just wear your underwear underneath. I recommend you wear clothes underneath so you don't have any flashing moments.
4. Here is how to prepare for your makeup:
-Make sure you get plenty of sleep the night before (helps prevent dark circles and puffy eyes).
-Come with a fresh face, no makeup.
-Typically I would always tell girls to moisturize before doing your makeup but depending on what products your makeup artist will be using it may already include a moisturizer and you don't want your face to end up oily after a few hours. (So ask first).
