Colombia meets 4th of July

This fourth of July was epic for my family. Colombia for the first time in it's history qualified for a 1/4 final and the game happened to land on the 4th of July. Our family decided to have a combined party for the 4th of July and to watch and celebrate Colombia's first 1/4 final. This is why I wore my Colombian shirt with my star head wrap.

Unfortunately our team lost against the champions of soccer, Brazil. The game was very intense to say the least, but I could not be prouder of how far Colombia came. Colombia hadn't been seen as a contender in the World Cup since 1990. It was amazing to see 24 years later my team reach new heights.
