So I am here to tackle an issue most of us have. Yes, even me…How do you wear orange without looking like a pumpkin. Let's be honest a solid orange piece is tricky to wear without it reminding you of halloween especially because a go to color to pair it with is black.
Well… here is the trick try to off set your look with a third color. Now I know this part is tricky because you don't want to add too much color because then your look is no longer chic but cheap. And you NEVER want to look cheap. So I paired my orange blazer (which I love) with a medium wash denim skirt. The skirt is a bubble skirt with a black elastic, since it already had black I choose to wear a black halter top. I wore a black heel to keep the look grounded and like I said not add to much color, the orange is a bold enough color. If you don't want to not be so plain this is where accessories are your best friend. I choose to wear my black leather belt with a large gold buckle to add some glam. Metallics work as neutrals most of the time, don't be afraid to add them on to your look.
Hope you this made it easier for you to finally go for that orange piece you love but never know how to wear.
xoxo,
V
