What to Do on Staycation

I finally got some days off (much needed). I have been working a lot lately, and I needed to take a break. Sometimes we need to make the conscience effort to rest; if you're a work-a-holic like me this is easier said than done. So since I had a few days off I wanted to feel like I was taking a vacation even though I wasn't going away. So what did I do on my staycation? I took a day go to Wynwood, walk around, ride a bike and take some blog pictures.

Sometimes we don't take the time to really enjoy the city we live in. In Miami there is so much to do, but sometimes you just want to just do something chill, other than go to the beach. (Not that I don't love the beach but there is more to Miami than just the ocean). So a fun casual day at Wynwood was the plan. Since I was going to be outside all day and it has been about 1000 degrees outside everyday I choose to dress loose. I wore my very distressed girlfriend jeans, my cowl tunic tank with my place lace strapless bralette. Since I was planning on riding a bike I wore my platform metallic espadrille shoes that I got a few weeks ago that I am obsessed with. The one thing I forgot... was a hair tie :0. My long hair in that heat was not my friend, hence the frizz lol.

Yet it ended up being a great day. I felt like such a chic little hipster on my bike. The silver chrome and leather details is so my style, trendy yet classic ;) Plus metallics this Summer are a huge trend, just in case you weren't aware lol.

Please feel free to share what things you have done on your staycation, I would love to know for my next one ;)

xoxo,
V

  1. Love love your shoes! I completely agree a staycation is a great way to disconnect even if only a few minutes away from home...we're heading to the beach this weekend to do the same.
